What’s the deal with this website?

Glad you asked!

So, our local council actually has a pretty good website. It’s packed with info—bin days, housing stuff, parks, planning applications, the lot. But here’s the thing: councils don’t have a ton of money these days, and when the budget gets tight, the ‘nice-to-have’ stuff is usually the first to disappear.

Now, when my girlfriend started her dog walking business, she needed some very specific info about local parks—like where you can let dogs off-lead, what parks have poo bins (yes, we’re going there), and which ones have gates that actually shut. You know, the stuff that matters when you’re wrangling a pack of pups.

If something’s missing, tell us

Turns out, that kind of detail just wasn’t on the council site. Or if it was, it was buried deeper than a squirrel’s winter stash.

So we thought, hey, why not just gather it all ourselves and stick it somewhere easy to find? And voilà—this site was born. It’s our little side project, born of muddy walks and mild frustration, and we hope it’s useful to other people too.
